Following an Emergency Community Meeting on January 18, 2026, ITAUCDN has taken a firm stance against operational lapses and unauthorized activities within our territories. The meeting, which lasted nearly seven hours, addressed critical concerns regarding "night haulage" and the mismanagement of community assets.
The "Community-First" Mandate
The General Assembly and the Board of Trustees have reaffirmed that all scrap materials and haulage benefits are the exclusive property of the host communities. In response to recent reporting lapses by Task Force members and Community Liaison Officers (CLOs), the following resolutions have been passed:
Key Resolutions & Enforcement
- Full Accountability: All proceeds from unauthorized scrap disposal must be refunded to the community coffers immediately.
- Personnel Review: Implicated officials have been suspended pending a full investigation into unauthorized borehole constructions and material stockpiling.
- Security Protocols: The deployment of military personnel without prior community clearance has been condemned to ensure the safety and psychological well-being of our residents.
Commitment to Binding Measures
Moving forward, ITAUCDN will implement binding environmental protection and restoration measures. No project mobilization shall occur without structured stakeholder consultations and a clear community-corporate agreement on benefit sharing.
Our priority remains the protection of our people and the equitable distribution of resources. We urge all contractors and operators to adhere strictly to these community-driven protocols.
